Women’s Self Defense
Learning Objectives
Teach women and girls about their risk of violence and empower them to take responsibility for their safety. Learn violence deterrence and avoidance and learn how to protect yourself from being a victim.
Classroom Instruction
Learn what are your risks: Intimate Partner Violence, Stalking, Harassment, Workplace Violence, Assault in the Community, Safety in Public Spaces and on campus. Learn how to avoid danger and trust your intuition.
Basic Fighting Skills
Spend 2 hours learning how to strike, jab, elbow, poke, scratch, scream and deter aggression with aggression.
Brazilian Jiujitsu
Learn how to use body mechanics and physics to outpower a larger attacker. Learn how to get out of choke holds, grabs, and sexual assault prevention tactics.
Resources
Learn how and where to continue your training and about local resources for women to help them in the event of an assault.
